ABOUT US

Rivendell is a former Edwardian sea captain’s house which has been a guest house for many years.

Tracy and Leigh look forward to welcoming both new and regular guests and hope you choose our house for your holiday.

The bed and breakfast is on a quiet road with just a short stroll to the beach and town and close to the Train and bus stations. We have a selection of maps and books for you to borrow and even some binoculars for the seal, dolphin and Basking shark watchers.

St. Ives is world famous for its beaches. You really can take your pick from Porthminster to Porthmeor, there is something for everyone.

Fame comes at last!! An episode of the Cornish Detective Wycliffe was filmed here in 1998, in the episode the murderer came to stay and killed off the lovely landlady. This episode is re-shown many times on TV and it is the last one they filmed. It is called Lands End. The name of our house was changed to The Golden Sands B&B and all new signs were made to cover our own (just for the filming).
